What is the D'Alembert strategy?
A gentle progression that adds one unit after a loss and subtracts one after a win. Bets grow linearly, so it escalates more slowly than Martingale, which makes it easier on your bankroll.

Why it matters
In rand: with a R50 stake, a 2x cash out returns R100. You’ll see this term in the bet panel of every crash game in our best crash games in South Africa list.
Slower escalation means fewer busts and slower recovery.
In practice
D’Alembert was designed for even-money bets, which a 2x cash out approximates. Because 2x lands slightly less than half the time, the stake tends to drift upwards over a long session. See D’Alembert and Fibonacci.
Example
Units go 1, 2, 3 after two losses, then 2 after a win.
