Server seed: meaning in crash games

By · Last updated October 30, 2026

A secret random value chosen by the game that, combined with the client seed and nonce, determines results. Only its hash is shown before play; the seed itself is revealed later for verification.

Why it matters

Keeping it secret until after play is what makes prediction impossible.

In practice

Games rotate server seeds on a schedule or when you ask. When a seed is retired it’s revealed, and every round played with it becomes checkable. Some games publish the hash of the next server seed in advance so the commitment is in place before you bet.

Example

A 64-character hex string revealed when you rotate seeds.
