Many crash games, Aviator among them, show two bet panels so you can place two independent bets in the same round. The popular “dual bet strategy” uses one as a safety bet with a low auto-cashout and the other as a runner left for a high multiplier. It’s one of the systems in our crash game strategy guide.

The outcomes, with real odds

Take a $10 safety bet at 1.5x and a $10 runner at 10x, at 97% RTP:

Crash point Chance Safety bet Runner Round result
Below 1.5x 35.3% −$10 −$10 −$20
1.5x to 9.99x 55.0% +$5 −$10 −$5
10x or higher 9.7% +$5 +$90 +$95

In about 1 round in 10 the runner lands and pays $95 net, which covers many small losing rounds.

What the safety bet does

It keeps most rounds small: in 55% of rounds you lose only $5 instead of $10, because the safety bet pays back part of the stake. That keeps your balance steadier while you wait for the runner to land. Just remember you’re staking $20 a round, so size it like a $20 bet.

Sizing it sensibly

  • Treat the combined stake as your bet size, and keep it at 1–2% of your bankroll.
  • Make the runner smaller than the safety bet if you want fewer −$20 rounds to hurt.
  • Use the auto-cashout calculator to check the hit rate of any pair of targets.

Compare with single-bet fixed auto-cashout and high-multiplier chasing.

Frequently asked questions

Does the dual bet strategy work?

It smooths your sessions: the safety bet lands often while the runner chases a bigger win. Keep the combined stake at 1–2% of your bankroll.

What's a good dual bet split?

A common setup is a larger bet at a low auto-cashout (1.3x–1.5x) and a smaller bet at a high target (5x–20x). Keep the combined stake at 1–2% of your bankroll.
