The Aviator 2x strategy wins about 48.5% of rounds: auto cash out at 2.00x and every win doubles your stake. It’s almost a coin flip, which makes it the most intuitive target in crash gaming and the classic partner for doubling systems. With flat $10 bets, a win returns $20 and a loss costs $10. Below: real simulation results across short and long sessions, plus why session length matters as much as the target. Part of our crash game strategy guide.
2x at a glance
| Per $10 bet | |
|---|---|
| Win chance | 48.5% |
| Win pays | +$10 |
| Loss costs | −$10 |
| Five losses in a row | 3.6% |
| Six losses in a row | 1.9% |
How session length changes 2x
We simulated flat $10 bets at 2x from $500, 10,000 runs at each length:
| Rounds | Median finish | Worst 10% | Best 10% | Ran dry |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 50 | $480 | $400 | $580 | 0% |
| 100 | $460 | $340 | $600 | 0% |
| 200 | $440 | $260 | $620 | 0.2% |
| 500 | $340 | $40 | $640 | 9.4% |
The longer you play, the more the RTP shows through. Our guide to how long a crash session should be digs into this.
2x and Martingale
2x is the natural Martingale target: one win recovers every loss in the cycle plus one base bet. But the stakes climb fast ($10, $20, $40, $80…), and in our test Martingale at 2x busted about half of 100-round sessions from $500. Read the Martingale strategy before trying it, or compare the gentler Anti-Martingale.
Step down or step up
The 1.5x strategy wins two in three with smaller swings; the 3x strategy wins one in three for triple payouts. Every target is compared in our fixed auto cash out strategy.

Play smart: pick the number of rounds before you start. At 2x, session length is your biggest risk dial.

Frequently asked questions
Does the 2x strategy work in Aviator?
It’s a clean, balanced plan: you double your stake about 48.5% of the time. Over long sessions it tracks the 97% RTP like every target.
What is the chance of 2x in Aviator?
About 0.97 ÷ 2 = 48.5% per round.
How often will I lose five in a row at 2x?
About 3.6% of the time; six in a row about 1.9%.
Should I double my bet after a loss at 2x?
That’s Martingale. It wins small amounts often but a streak of losses can wipe the session; in our test it busted about half of 100-round sessions.
How long should a 2x session be?
Shorter sessions keep the swings smaller. At 100 rounds no simulated session went bust; at 500 rounds 9.4% did.
Is 2x better than 1.5x?
It pays more per win but wins less often. 2x suits players who like bigger swings; 1.5x suits steady play.
