The Aviator 3x strategy wins about 32.3% of rounds: auto cash out at 3.00x and each win triples your stake. A $10 bet returns $30, so one win covers two losses with room to spare. The trade-off is streaks: you’ll lose about two rounds in three, and runs of five losses in a row come up about 14% of the time. Sized right, 3x gives you punchy wins without the long droughts of 10x. Real numbers below, from 10,000 simulated sessions. Part of our crash game strategy guide.
3x at a glance
| Per $10 bet | |
|---|---|
| Win chance | 32.3% |
| Win pays | +$20 |
| Loss costs | −$10 |
| Five losses in a row | 14.2% |
| Ten losses in a row | 2.0% |
100 rounds at 3x, simulated
$500 budget, $10 bets, 100 rounds, 10,000 runs. Median $460, the same as 2x, because the RTP is the same. What changes is the spread: the best 10% finished on $640 or more, the worst 10% on $280 or less, and the typical worst dip was $160. No session went bust. More targets compared in our fixed auto cash out strategy.
Planning for streaks
At 3x, a cold run is part of the game. With 2% bets, ten straight losses costs $100, a fifth of the budget, so you’re still in the game. Bigger bets make streaks hurt: at 5% per bet, the same run costs half the budget. Our bankroll management guide has the sizing rules.
Step down or step up
The 2x strategy wins about half your rounds; the 5x strategy wins one in five for bigger payouts. If you want both a steady bet and a big shot, try the dual bet strategy.
Play the 3x strategy
Works in Aviator, JetX and Spaceman. Run it in the simulator below. Then pick a partner casino and fly.
Play smart: expect a five-loss run in most long sessions. If it can’t knock you out, your bet size is right.

Frequently asked questions
Is 3x a good Aviator strategy?
It’s a fun middle ground: wins triple your stake and land about one round in three. Swings are bigger than at 2x, so keep bets small.
What are the odds of 3x in Aviator?
About 0.97 ÷ 3 = 32.3% per round.
How long can a losing streak get at 3x?
Five losses in a row happen about 14% of the time and ten in a row about 2%. Size bets so a streak like that doesn’t end your session.
How much do I win at 3x?
A $10 bet returns $30, a $20 profit, so one win covers two losses.
3x or 2x: which is better?
2x wins more often (48.5% vs 32.3%); 3x pays more. Both return about 97% over time.
