Anti-Martingale turns a hot streak into a big payout: three 2x wins in a row multiply your base bet by eight. Also called Paroli or reverse Martingale, this anti martingale crash strategy flips the doubling idea. After a win you bet the full return on the next round. After a loss, or after your set number of wins in a row, you reset to the base bet. Losses stay small, streaks pay big. It’s part of our crash game strategy series.

Every worked example on this page is in Kenyan shillings. The standard setup is a KSh 5,000 session bankroll and KSh 100 base bets (2%), the same ratios as our simulations. Topping up? M-Pesa is the quickest way in for most players in Kenya.

How a cycle works at 2x

Step Bet If it wins If it loses
1 KSh 100 KSh 200 returned −KSh 100, reset
2 KSh 200 KSh 400 returned −KSh 100 net, reset
3 KSh 400 KSh 800 returned, bank it, reset −KSh 100 net, reset

Your own money at risk is always KSh 100 per cycle. The rest is “house money” from earlier wins, though it’s still your money once you’ve won it.

Streak odds

At 97% RTP and 2x:

  • One win: 48.5%
  • Two in a row: 23.5%
  • Three in a row: 11.4%

So about 89% of cycles end in a KSh 100 loss, or in a smaller banked gain if you stop early. The 11% that complete pay +KSh 700.

Simulation results

KSh 5,000 bankroll, KSh 100 base bet, 2x target, three-win cap, 100 rounds, 10,000 sessions:

Median 10th pct 90th pct Bust
KSh 4,400 KSh 2,000 KSh 7,000 1.2%

Compare that with flat betting at 2x (median KSh 4,600, range KSh 3,400–KSh 6,000) and Martingale (median KSh 0, bust 50%). Anti-Martingale trades a slightly lower median for a fatter upside, without Martingale’s total-loss tail.

Tips

  • Set the streak cap before you start, and stick to it.
  • Lower targets (1.5x) make streaks likelier but smaller. Higher targets make them rarer and bigger.
  • Compare the results with Martingale and the 1.20x comparison in the simulator.

Frequently asked questions

Is Anti-Martingale better than Martingale?

It's much safer for your bankroll: you never risk more than one base bet of your own money per cycle, while streaks still give you a shot at bigger wins.

How many wins should I let ride?

Two or three is common. Each extra step multiplies the payout but makes it less likely to land. Our simulator resets after three wins.
